With over 20 years of experience, Tanesa Whiting oversees the development and execution of all integrated strategic marketing and promotional campaigns for Mixed Media Entertainment.
A native of Las Vegas, Ms. Whiting currently serves on the board of directors of Variety, The Children's Charity of Southern Nevada, Ms. Whiting is the only board-certified member of the Association of Theatrical Press Agents and Managers in Las Vegas. In 2005, Ms. Whiting was honored to be asked to be a member of the Las Vegas 2005 Centennial committee. Ms. Whiting studied Communications at Brigham Young University.
Prior to founding Mixed Media Entertainment in 2004, Ms. Whiting was the Marketing Director for Blue Man Group - Live at the Luxor where she was responsible for all advertising, marketing, and public relations efforts. She created the production's in-house marketing department infrastructure resulting in effective communication between the production, the hotel, and the advertising agency. She developed and implemented cross promotions with key partnerships including other Blue Man Group productions, Intel, and the production's record label.
Prior to relocating to Las Vegas, Ms. Whiting worked as a publicist with Davidson Choy Publicity in Los Angeles and a marketing associate at Browne, Zukow Associates in San Francisco both key feeder markets for Las Vegas. Over her 5 year tenure at Browne Zukow Case, she spearheaded and assisted with the marketing campaigns for touring productions including the Shorenstein Hays Nederlander, Organization's Best of Broadway Series, and Cirque Du Soleil's "Quidam" as well as long-running resident productions of "The Phantom of the Opera" and "Beach Blanket Babylon". In addition, she opened Cirque Du Soleil's "O" in Las Vegas and worked on the national touring production of "Sunset Boulevard" starring Petula Clark.
