National Television Promotion: The Ellen DeGeneres Show


Objective:

Secure studio audience giveaways for trade with guaranteed on-air segments during The Ellen DeGeneres Show’s 12 Days of Giving in 2010 and 2011. We also fulfilled the studio audience vouchers over the one-year redemption period for both promotions. 

Approach:

MME worked closely with Ellen’s integration team to optimize the ask with guaranteed segments with field reporter Amy Rhodes showcasing the package and property of both of our clients

In 2010, we secured a giveaway with The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and negotiated an exclusive “first look” into the new hotel for Ellen’s field talent Amy. A 2 ½ segment aired on December 15, Cosmopolitan’s opening day.

In 2011, to showcase the opening of Caesars Palace’s new Octavius Tower in January, we secured a 12 Days Giveaway. A taped segment with Amy Rhodes was negotiated in the deal. A 3 minutes piece ran in conjuncation with the giveaway. A second segment was negotiated tied to another giveaway that aired in January. 

Additional national promotions were secured on Entertainment Tonight and Delilah. Internationally, a promotion was secured on GMTV, the UK’s top morning show.
