Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino/T-Mobile Pack Your Bags Sweetpstakes
Objective:
To approach national retail partners to secure promotional opportunities for Caesars Entertainment properties inregional feeder markets.
Approach:
MME approached various mobile carriers to partner on a regional promotional sweepstakes. T-Mobile was interested and a promotion was developed around a “Pack Your Bags” promotion to Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. Consumers were encouraged to come to one of four T-Mobile locations with bags packed ready to leave for a VIP exclusive weekend at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.
Results:
In 2009 a two week promotion in 90 retail locations in the greater Los Angeles was secured. All stores featured in-store POP creative focusing on the trip. Promotional rack cards were distributed in all locations. A two-week radio buy was secured by T-Mobile to
drive consumers to the four T-Mobile locations. The on-air talent from the radio station partner joined the winners and did call-ins
over the weekend talking about the experience and promoting the various parts of the property.
